In 2024, Vuori partnered with Debrand to launch its Next-Life Program with a goal to keep as much product in circulation and out of landfill as possible. What began as a small-scale trial has evolved into a fully scaled program focused on building the right foundation first and expanding impact over time. Together, we have activated Fiber Reclamation and Responsible Disposal, while also laying the groundwork for enabling new material-specific solutions like Down Feather and Yoga Mat Recycling. As the program continues to grow, the focus is shifting from managing product at end of life to strengthening reuse potential, deepening cross-functional alignment, and building a more resilient circular strategy for the years ahead.

CLIMBING THE WASTE HIERARCHY
Since launching the Next-Life Program, Vuori has been able to move more product up the Waste Hierarchy. By leveraging Debrand as an extension of their organization, they have unlocked recycling and responsible disposal solutions to maximize product impact and value.
BUILDING THE SYSTEM
Initially, Vuori began working with Debrand through a small-scale trial designed to demonstrate how Fiber Reclamation and Responsible Disposal could help give as much product a next-life as possible. The program was activated across product streams, including distribution centers, stores, and product samples, all requiring thoughtful next-life pathways. The trial offered a structured way to test logistics, reporting, and material outcomes.
Through this trial, Debrand identified clear opportunities to streamline processing and increase diversion through the product streams. As confidence in the model grew, the program transitioned into a fully scaled program, establishing a consistent operational foundation to manage next-life solutions.
GUIDANCE & INTERNAL EDUCATION
With operations established, the focus expanded to internal education and alignment. In 2025, Debrand supported Vuori’s Earth Month Lunch & Learn, and contributed to the development of its Design for Circularity Guide, helping connect sustainability goals with practical execution.
These efforts helped translate circularity principles into shared organizational knowledge across teams. By strengthening internal awareness, Vuori is better positioned to consider circular and sustainable outcomes earlier in the product lifecycle.

In 2026, Vuori and Debrand have expanded next-life solutions through Down Feather and Yoga Mat Recycling to further reduce waste and increase impact. With a strong operational foundation now in place, the focus shifts to scaling the program across teams, prioritizing deeper cross‑functional knowledge‑building, and continuing to unlock new next‑life solutions. Together, we’ll work to move even more product up the Waste Hierarchy – building on what’s been established and creating greater circular impact year over year.
